There’s nothing quite like having the glorious experience of feeling joy from your head down to your toes when you’ve got the giggles. Something strikes a chord within you and you are rolling on the floor with uncontrollable laughter. What a feeling! Oftentimes it is fleeing, but wouldn’t it be nice to allow more room in our lives for the all too sought after belly laugh? What a healthy world this would be, not to mention joyful and pleasant!
Here are some fun ways to allow for more gleeful moments in your life:
Take out a tape recorder or recording device and ask your family to join in too (they might at first think you’re nuts) but sing a song at the top of your lungs and in different ways, maybe pretending to be a certain character together or take turns.
Go to Toys R Us or your favorite toy store and choose a game together. When is the last time you’ve had family game night? Isn’t it time? Perhaps a game created especially for parties or get-to-gethers. Google some jokes on the internet… or play harmless pranks on your family or friends. *I don’t suggest the jumping out from behind a corner game, that isn’t so much fun for the receiving end!! I know, I’ve had kids =) But the point here is, make time for fun! Find the JOY in life! Make it happen… Belly laughs are healthy good fun unless you overdo it of course! My dad always says “Everything in moderation”.
